Project Objective

H4PERION aims to accelerate the decarbonisation of long-distance shipping by developing and demonstrating a hydrogen/biomethane-capable marine internal combustion engine, together with fuel supply, blending and exhaust aftertreatment systems. The project targets major reductions in CO2, NOx, SOx, particulate matter and methane slip, while also producing safety guidance, training materials, replication studies and a standardisation blueprint for hydrogen fuel use.

It leads dissemination and communication planning and implementation activities, including project identity, key messages, stakeholder channels, conference and event presence, website and news updates, social media, and wider engagement with maritime and research communities.
