The H4PERION project, Hydrogen FOR Performance Enhancement and Reliable Ice OperatioN, has officially started, bringing partners together to support cleaner long-distance shipping.

The project will develop and demonstrate hydrogen-ready marine engine technologies, alongside innovative fuel supply and exhaust gas aftertreatment solutions.

The kick-off meeting took place in Vaasa, Finland, on 15–16 June 2026. A big thank you to all partners for joining us in Vaasa and contributing to a successful two-day kick-off meeting! It was a pleasure to meet everyone in person and exchange views on the project’s next steps. We look forward to working closely together and building on this strong start.
