The TRA2022 edition was held in Lisbon and welcomed 2,200 attendees on the spot at the Lisbon Congress Centre, from November 14th to 17th 2022.
The core activity of the TRAVISIONS 2022 project was the organisation of two competitions for transport research awards to be announced at the TRA 2022 conference.
The TRAVISIONS 2022 YOUNG RESEARCHER COMPETITION, an academic competition with the goal of stimulating interest among young researchers and students in the field of sustainable transport. During the award ceremony was announced and awarded the top 3 winners from each transport mode (ROAD, RAIL, WATERBORNE, AIR, CROSS-MODALITY).
The TRAVISIONS 2022 SENIOR RESEARCHER COMPETITION, a competition for senior researchers in the field of innovative transport concepts based on results only from EU-funded projects. During the Gala Dinner was awarded the No. 1 winner from each transport mode (ROAD, RAIL, WATERBORNE, AIR, CROSS-MODALITY) and the special honorary.
As part of TRAVISIONS 2022 awards it was introduced for the first time this year a special honorary award was meant to honor a senior personality, representing the older generation of established researchers who is about to complete or has already completed his/her career, and who has through the years made a substantial, outstanding and well-recognized contribution to research and innovation in his/her respective field.
