The BE OPEN project has now been completed and its final review meeting took place on 13 July 2021 with a satisfactory outcome (https://beopen-project.eu).
BE OPEN did promote Open Science in transport research and also assisted in regulating and standardizing it.
It has also succeeded in creating a common understanding on the practical impact of Open Science and to identify and put in place the mechanisms to make it a reality in transport research by the setting up and implementation of TOPOS, the Transport Observatory / fOrum for Promoting Open Science.
