On 18-19 November 2020, WEGEMT and The Royal Institution of Naval Architects (RINA) jointly organized an online course on “Green Shipping: Energy, Emissions & Economy”. The course was attended by more than 100 postgraduate (M.Sc. and PhD) and final year students currently registered with marine European universities.
During the welcome session on 18 November, Dr. Dmitriy Ponkratov (RINA Technical Director) made an introduction to the course participants about RINA and WEGEMT, where he highlighted the long and successful history of the two organizations in promoting knowledge and innovation. Reference was also made to the key European research projects that WEGEMT is currently involved (MATES, IMPRESSIVE, BE OPEN, MarLEM, DRIVE2THEFUTURE).
