WEGEMT participated in the Shipbuilding Focus Group workshop on 10 July 2020, organized within the activities of the MATES project. Key external experts from the European shipbuilding sector were invited to discuss and share their views and experiences with MATES on the following points:
-Current skill gaps and shortages
-Identify changes to skills needs related to Covid-19
-Steering of the MATES pilot experiences
-Ocean Literacy and how it can contribute to a better skilled workforce
During the workshop, WEGEMT disseminated results from other European projects that is currently involved (IMPRESSIVE, BE OPEN, MarLEM, Drive2TheFuture).
