Objective:
The objective of this course it to provide basic ergonomics knowledge to prospective candidates interested in ship design or operation, as well as to train them to be effective in the multi-disciplinary environments that increasingly will be the norm in the maritime industry. This course will bring benefit to maritime safety and efficiency by improving the usability of ships and shipboard systems, it will improve the protection of the environment through risk reduction, and it will improve European competitiveness in maritime operations by increased effectiveness and usability.
Target Audience:
Master and Doctoral Students from maritime education institutions where naval architects, engineers or maritime professionals are being trained, as well as students and professionals from the maritime and ocean engineering sector.
Summer School details:
– Applications Open until 15 July 2023
– Location: Técnico Lisboa
– 20 hours course (4 hours/day) from 9:30h to 13:30h
– No costs. Limited to 20 participants
