  • Mohammad Hossein Ghaemi (1967), is an Assistant Professor at Faculty of Ocean Engineering and Ship Technology, Department of Automatics and Energy Engineering. He studied first at Tehran University, where was graduated in the field of Mechanical Engineering (Solid Mechanics) and then received his MSc degree in the field of Ocean Engineering (Ship Power Plants) and PhD degree in the field of Building and Operation of Machines.

  • Research Interests

  • Since 1995 he has been working at Faculty of Ocean Engineering and Ship Technology conducting teaching and research in ship automation and power engineering, particularly in relation to modelling, simulation, analysis, synthesis and optimisation of dynamic behaviour and transient responses of ship and her systems. Additionally, he do research on tribological aspects of micro-bearings, their characteristics and surface coating. For 5 years he was also an employee of the Ship Design and Research Centre (CTO) in Gdańsk. He was also a visiting lecturer at Strathclyde University in Glasgow for 5 years, main coordinator of 1 European project, as well as the principal participant of 7 European or national projects.

  • Teaching Interests

  • M. H. Ghaemi is a member of the Professional Affairs Committee of Royal Inst. of Naval Arch., representative of the faculty and member of Executive Committee in the Association of European Ship Divisions (WEGEMT), Vice-President for Innovation of the Polish Naval Arch. Association (KORAB), member of editorial committees of two international journals and expert of Pomeranian Thematic Network – Education, as well as Vice-Dean for Education since 2012.
